Precise & Efficient Fabrication Process of Brass Letters
Designing
We will produce your design to your specifications, whether you order our standard designs or ask us to reproduce the original artwork.
Cutting of Letters
Laser-cut letters are produced from thin band material or cut to size and bent to the contour of laser-cut faces. The result is a hollow-backed letter with 90° angle edges that have clean, crisp corners and are hand-soldered using lead-free silver solder.
Polishing
Our fabricated brass letters are buffed, stroked, or painted according to your specifications. We also offer a non-directional polished material at a slightly higher cost for the most discerning customers.
Soldering
The letters are mounted inside with threaded studs that accept mounting studs centered in a strap. This letter joining returns with a boss welded to accept the mounting studs making for a solid fabricated brass letter.
Lighting
Solid brass letters can be installed with LED modules to create internally illuminated signs. These “halo-lit” letters are commonly used in museums, office complexes, and other buildings requiring a high-end signage look.
Quality Checking
When brass letters are ready, they go through a thorough inspection by our team of experts. If any issues arise with the pieces, we will rework them until we achieve excellence.
Packaging
Our sturdy three-ply hardwood shipping boxes are made with two layers of hardwood and a layer of polystyrene in the middle. These boxes provide maximum protection for your letters while they’re in transit.
Advantages of Utilizing Brass Materials on a Letters
Brass is a high-quality metal used in various applications for centuries. It is known for its high strength, low weight, and corrosion resistance. As such, brass is often used in construction, plumbing, and building materials. While brass may not be the most popular metal, it still has many advantages over other materials. Below are some of the benefits that you can expect to gain from utilizing brass materials on your letters:
This means that brass requires less material to create a given object (such as aluminum or steel) compared to other metals with comparable qualities. Because of this, it is simpler for producers to produce goods quickly without compromising their quality or robustness.
It has been demonstrated repeatedly that brass resists corrosion and rusting underwater exposure circumstances better than most other metals do.
Copper and zinc are non-ferrous metals, and the other elements added to the alloy are also primarily non-ferrous. The resulting alloy, when combined, is therefore resistant to corrosion via oxidation. Even if brass tarnishes, this only affects its luster and not its performance or durability.
Brass and other copper-based metals are used in water filtration and sanitation systems because the molecules of copper in the metal can produce ions that attack a specific type of protein in single-celled organisms, killing them instantly.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc with a beautiful golden color. It is often used in decorative applications, such as accessories or architectural elements.
Brass is easier to work with than other metals because it doesn't require heat treatment processes such as annealing or quenching before being shaped into different forms.
